Martin Duneld

I am a lecturer and researcher working at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University (SU). On June 11th 2007 I defended my thesis Resource Lean and Portable Automatic Text Summarization.

Currently I am teaching on courses on language technology, information retrieval, data science and research methods at DSV, and have tought language technology at the School of Computer Science and Communication, KTH, and information retrieval at Uppsala University. I have together with Professor Hercules Dalianis supervised Sumithra Velupillai and Aron Henriksson in their PhD studies. Sumithra successfully defended her PhD thesis Shades of Certainty – Annotation and Classification of Swedish Medical Records on April 27, 2012 and Aron successfully defended his licentiate thesis Semantic Space of Clinical Text – Leveraging Distributional Semantics for Natural Language Processing of Electronic Health Records on October 18, 2013 as well as his PhD thesis Ensembles of Semantic Spaces: On Combining Models of Distributional Semantics with Applications in Healthcare on December 17, 2015 (awarded the Börje Langefors Prize 2016).
